"DIVAS": (Divinely, Inspired, Victoriously, Appointed, Sisters)
Our prayer for all women is to be encouraged by spiritual growth and leadership while making a difference in our world by winning souls for Christ, and by disciplining them to follow His example. We strive to train them to minister to others and to equip women for this earthly life with the tools of growth, mentoring, friendship and sisterhood. This ministry has been created also to help the women of FTC have a place for fellowship, as well as supporting all the other ministries within the church.
Our College & Career ministry exists to teach young adults how to reach people for Jesus Christ. The ministry will prepare them for the outreach of their mission field, wherever that may be, by instilling the Word of God and clarifying the vision corporately and personally.
We will not only do this with fun and exciting activities and events, but we'll also implement personal discipleship to strengthen our members into effective leaders. We realize we are one step closer to becoming the "church of tomorrow," and we are aware of a lost and dying world searching for truth. Our belief is that knowing Jesus personally fills every void in our lives, and by surrounding ourselves with other believers, we are strengthened and equipped to live victorious and overcoming lives.
All of us have a specific job in the Kingdom of God, and if we are sensitive enough to hear God's plan for our lives, then His arms can be extended. One goal of this ministry is to help people find his or her place in their church, business, school, ministry, and life and to have a blast while doing it.
We are: "TAKING THE PARTY BACK!"
College & Career Leader,
Josh Thornhill
Our mission is to promote growth in the Kingdom of God by reaching out to Seniors through visitation, meetings, fellowship, and prayer.
If you're new to Faith Tabernacle Church and you are 50 years old and above, we would like to invite you to attend our monthly meeting held the first Tuesday night of each month. We meet at 6:00 p.m. in the sanctuary for prayer and then meet at The Heritage Center immediately afterward for a pot luck dinner. If you would like more information, please contact Ida Gilley at (318) 355-7003. We look forward to seeing you at our next meeting!
Faith Tabernacle Church Motorcycle Ministry (FTCMM) is an international, spirit filled, non-denominational, Christian Motorcycle Ministry. We are a strong brotherhood of bikers who love Jesus, and minister to people from all walks of life. We understand the concept that everyone needs to hear the message of Jesus Christ, yet they must receive the message in a way that they can understand it. We are committed to promote and participate in evangelistic outreaches within the "biker community."
One of our main goals with this ministry is to reach and teach bikers, and provide them with opportunities and materials for them to come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Through the ministry of FTCMM, bikers and others are learning about Jesus Christ and are receiving Him as Savior. FTCMM riders are reaching people with their bikes who may not normally step foot into an organized church or Bible study. We are putting rubber and leather into the Gospel message! If you would like more information about FTCMM, please call Jason Knighten at (318) 884-1022.
FTCMM Leaders,
Jason & Roy Knighten
The worship ministry is a vital part of Faith Tabernacle Church. The heart of the worship team is to usher the presence of God into our worship services and create an atmosphere for the Spirit of God to move. It is in this atmosphere that bondage is broken and lives are transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Our community outreach program, REFUGE, takes Jesus outside the four walls of FTC into the streets of Monroe and the surrounding areas. Not only are we taking Jesus to the nations, but we are also taking Jesus to our neighbors. We understand that just as there are mission fields around the world, we have a mission field right here in our own community. It is our mandate to feed hungry bodies and souls and reach out with the love of Christ to our community. Isaiah 58:7 says "Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter? When you see the naked, to clothe him, and not to run away from your own flesh and blood?" REFUGE has their outreach the last Saturday of each month. If you would like to become involved in this ministry, please contact Wanda Matthews at (318) 439-0470.
2 Chronicles 7:14 & James 5:16b
"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land... The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."
Our Mission:
To support our pastor, our church, and our community through prayer & fasting.
Prayer Meetings are every Tuesday at 6:00 PM. If you have any questions, please contact James Brooks at (318) 651-7001.
We invite you to come wage war against the gates of hell with us next Tuesday. It is so important to cover our families, pastor, church, health, and finances in prayer. EVERYONE is invited to be a part of these powerful times of intercessory prayer!
You've heard of Adopt A Highway? This is an outreach based on the same principles. With Adopt A Block you 'adopt' a block of your street or a neighborhood in your area. Consistent care and attention is given to the area by members of the outreach team. It's a powerful ministry and can really overhaul a community. For the better!
This outreach is based on relationship building with the residents of the area. You'll need to be dependable and reliable! With a solid team or just a few committed people, you can use Adopt A Block to open doors that lead to Christ in any community. It is a valuable and worthy endeavor with the reward being life changing.
We host our Adopt A Block programs on the first Saturday of each month and would love for you to help us in our mission!
